Job summary
Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced engineer to design, configure, and commission complete building control systems, including lighting, nurse call, and data networks. You will work on Niagara Framework-based deployments and integrate protocols like BACnet and Modbus to meet project requirements.
You will coordinate with field teams, develop complex software and submittals, and ensure quality, timeliness, and safety across projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in construction or HVAC.
- Knowledge of control theory, building automation systems and subsystems.
- Experience integrating low voltage subsystems using BACnet or similar protocols.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Strong computer drafting skills.
Responsibilities
- Design and configure HVAC building control systems per contract documents.
- Develop and test software to operate the system per project requirements.
- Coordinate drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installation.
- Assist in loading and commissioning of controllers and networks.
- Ensure safety compliance and project timelines.
