Granite Construction is seeking an inventory and tools operations leader to drive efficient procurement and control. You will oversee strategic planning, budgeting, and tool asset management to support field crews and project profitability.

The role emphasizes supplier relations, safety, and developing a high-performing team across multiple locations, ensuring Granite remains a low-cost producer while meeting project demands.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years progressive experience in purchasing and inventory management in a heavy civil environment.
• Minimum of 5 years experience small tools inventory and purchasing.
• Knowledge of inventory management practices and employee development.

Responsibilities

• Develop, update and review a strategic plan for small tools operations aligned with regional plans.
• Prepare and issue annual budgets and business plans detailing goals.
• Perform inventory control to ensure field crews have essential tools cost-effectively.
• Prepare reports on inventories, loss or damage for accurate asset tracking.
• Coordinate tool deliveries with field teams to support timely, profitable projects.
• Maintain supplier relationships for competitive pricing and timely items.
• Mentor small tools staff and ensure safe, efficient operations.
