Job summary

Granite Construction is seeking a plant operations supervisor to oversee mining, processing, stockpiling, loading, and distribution of aggregates. You will manage manpower, scheduling, safety compliance, and equipment maintenance to maximize uptime and cost efficiency.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in plant supervision, strong communication skills, and proficiency with MS Office. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Experience supervising plant operations in mining/processing environments.
• Proficient in MS Office and data handling.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and supervise mining, processing, stockpiling, loading and distribution to ensure manpower and inventory efficiency.
• Direct work to ensure profitability, safety, and environmental compliance.
• Apply knowledge of production methods to improve efficiency and uptime.
• Schedule maintenance of all plant equipment to keep operations running on time.
• Compare costs and decide on best value for equipment repair or replacement.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting to meet goals.
