Job summary

Rural King is hiring a Mechanic I to oversee the small engine repair shop within the Marion store. You will manage customer repair work orders, service and repair equipment, order parts, and process warranty claims.

You will interact with customers, follow safety protocols, document work, and participate in cross-training and training programs to stay current with industry developments.

Qualifications

• Intermediate to advanced mechanical skills in small engine, diesel, and hydraulic systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Proficiency with in-store technology resources including CRM software and diagnostic programs.
• Ability to work independently without frequent supervision.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service with timely onsite repair for all work orders.
• Enforce safety protocols for equipment and tools.
• Handle hazardous materials safely and properly.
• Complete warranty paperwork promptly per manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintain accurate daily documentation of repairs and progress.
• Operate forklifts and other shop machinery safely.
