Job summary

Rural King is seeking a Mechanic I to diagnose, service, and repair customer and company-owned equipment in our in-store repair shop. You will work on small engines, tractors, diesel equipment, hydraulic systems, and outdoor power gear while managing repair work orders, parts, warranty claims, and customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and repairing small engines, diesel engines, hydraulic systems, or related equipment.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and service manuals/schematics.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, service, repair, and maintain equipment.
• Manage customer repair work orders from intake to completion.
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine service.
• Use diagnostic software, multimeters, and schematics to identify issues.
• Complete warranty documentation and process claims.
• Document work performed and communicate updates to customers.
