Job summary

Lhoist North America is seeking a self-motivated operator to manage the slaking process quality and timing, supervise slurry distribution, and perform preventative maintenance. The role requires safety-first execution and the ability to resolve site issues with contractors.

The position involves long shifts (12–14 hours), seven days a week including holidays, with potential overtime and travel to other sites as needed. A Texas Driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• HS/GED diploma is required.
• Minimum 1 year's heavy industrial experience.
• Must be able to read and write English.
• Must have current Driver's Texas license and maintain safe driving record.
• Willing to travel to other operating sites as needed.
• Work 12–14 hour days, 7 days a week including holidays, with overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures and policies.
• Complete paperwork: safety pre-shift, PMs, daily & monthly reports.
• Report potential safety or operational problems to supervision.
• Perform maintenance and routine checks on slurry equipment.
• Unload rail cars/trucks, mix lime and water, operate slurry equipment safely.
• Operate front-end loader and other cleaning equipment.
• Assist maintenance staff and fill vacancies as needed.
