Job summary

Lhoist North America is seeking a self-motivated technician to oversee the slaking process quality and timing, supervise proper slurry distribution, and perform preventative maintenance. This role requires independence and a strong safety mindset in a heavy industrial setting.

The position entails coordinating with on-site and contractor teams, ensuring compliance with safety and reporting requirements, and readiness to travel to other operating sites as needed.

Qualifications

• HS/GED diploma required.
• Minimum 1 year heavy industrial experience.
• Must have a valid Texas driver's license.
• Willingness to travel to other sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures and policies according to safety regulations.
• Ensure all paperwork (Safety pre-shift, equipment PM's, daily reports, monthly reports) are accurate and timely.
• Report any potential operational or safety problems to supervision.
• Perform work neatly while strictly adhering to safety rules and regulations.
• General clean-up in all plant areas and off-site jobs.
• Operate front-end loader and other equipment for cleanup work.
• Lubricate and perform minor repairs on conveying and other equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance on all equipment.
• Assist maintenance and other personnel in filling vacancies.
• Unload rail cars and/or trucks, mix lime and water at proper ratios and operate slurry equipment safely.
• Must have current Texas driver's license and maintain safe driving record.
• Must be available for out-of-town work as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
