Job summary

Lhoist North America in Texas is seeking a self-motivated plant operator responsible for the slaking process quality and timing while supervising the distribution of slurry. You will perform preventive maintenance and quality control testing of slurry, and resolve site issues with local contractors.

Candidates should have a HS/GED, at least 1 year of heavy industrial experience, and be able to work 12-14 hour days, including weekends.

Qualifications

• HS/GED diploma required.
• Minimum 1 year of heavy industrial experience.
• Must be able to read and write English.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures and policies.
• Ensure paperwork (pre-shift, PMs, daily/monthly reports) is accurate.
• Report potential operational or safety problems to supervision.
• Perform work neatly, adhere to safety rules.
• Operate equipment and perform maintenance as needed.
• Unload materials and mix lime with water per ratios.
• Travel to other sites as needed.
