Adoration Home Health, part of BrightSpring Health Services, seeks an SLP for home health in Jeffersonville, IN. This PRN role provides 1:1 patient care and the opportunity to impact patients and families in a supportive, fulfilling environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current, unrestricted state licensure as an SLP.
• Current BLS or CPR certification in accordance with state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their speech or language needs and determine continued therapy.
• Teach patients how to produce sounds and improve voice quality.
• Teach alternative communication methods for patients with limited speech.
• Educate healthcare team and caregivers on therapy plans and progress.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions
• Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy

Qualifications

• Minimum of Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with accredited Speech Language Pathology program
• A minimum of one (1) year's work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Current, unrestricted license as an Speech Language Pathologist by state in which practicing
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance state regulations
