Job summary

Adoration Health in Belpre, OH is seeking a Home Health Speech Language Pathologist to join our patient-centered team. The role offers PRN, weekly visits with flexible scheduling and the support of a caring network in a home health setting.

You will evaluate and treat patients with speech or language disorders, teach sound production and alternative communication methods, and collaborate with caregivers to sustain progress. Competitive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Minimum 1 year work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Current, unrestricted license as a Speech Language Pathologist in the practicing state.
• Current BLS or CPR certification per state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients to determine therapy needs and plan continued services.
• Teach patients how to produce sounds and improve voice.
• Teach alternative communication methods (e.g., sign language).
• Educate and guide healthcare team and caregivers on therapeutic exercises to support progress outside sessions.
• Document progress and submit visit notes per agency policy.

Responsibilities

As a Home Health Speech Language Pathologist, You will:

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions
• Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy

Qualifications

• Minimum of Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with accredited Speech Language Pathology program
• A minimum of one (1) year’s work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Current, unrestricted license as an Speech Language Pathologist by state in which practicing
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance state regulations
