Job summary

Adoration Health, part of BrightSpring Health Services, seeks a Speech Language Pathologist to provide in-home therapy in Belpre, OH. This PRN role focuses on evaluating and treating communication and swallowing disorders with patient-centered care.

You will work independently with team support, serving Athens, Washington, and Morgan counties. A Master’s in SLP, current license, and CPR/BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• One year of work experience as an SLP preferred.
• Active, unrestricted state license to practice.
• BLS or CPR certification current per state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' speech and language needs during home health visits.
• Plan and implement therapy to improve communication and swallowing.
• Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic activities and home practice.
• Document progress and submit visit notes per policy.

Office Location: Belpre, OH Coverage area: Athens, Washington, and Morgan Counties

Schedule: PRN, weekly visits

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions
• Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy

Qualifications

• Minimum of Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with accredited Speech Language Pathology program
• A minimum of one (1) year's work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Current, unrestricted license as an Speech Language Pathologist by state in which practicing
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance state regulations
