Job summary

Adoration Health in Belpre, OH is seeking a Home Health Speech Language Pathologist to deliver patient-centered care in the home setting. You will assess speech and language needs, develop therapy plans, and support patients and families.

This role offers 1:1 visits, flexible scheduling, and team support while promoting independence and growth within a growing company.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• One (1) year minimum work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Current, unrestricted license as an Speech Language Pathologist in the practicing state.
• Current BLS or CPR certification per state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate speech/language difficulties and determine need for continued therapy.
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve voices.
• Teach alternative communication methods (e.g., sign language) for patients with limited speech.
• Educate and guide healthcare team, patients, and caregivers in therapeutic exercises to support progress outside direct sessions.
• Document progress and clinical notes and submit visit documentation per policy.

Responsibilities

As a Home Health Speech Language Pathologist , You will:

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions
• Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy

Qualifications

• Minimum of Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with accredited Speech Language Pathology program
• A minimum of one (1) year’s work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Current, unrestricted license as an Speech Language Pathologist by state in which practicing
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance state regulations
