Job summary

Overland Terrace Healthcare & Wellness Centre in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide direct patient care, evaluate and treat communication and swallowing disorders, and collaborate with families and the rehab team.

You will document services in the medical records, develop effective treatment plans, supervise Clinical Fellows and other SLPs, and participate in rehab conferences to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• California Speech-Language Pathology license or license candidate.
• CCC-SLP certification (Clinical Competence).
• Current CPR certification, if required.
• 2–3 years of rehab or skilled nursing facility experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides treatment programs to maximize speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities within patient limits.
• Evaluates and treats patients; communicates with families, physicians and interdisciplinary team members; documents services in medical records.
• Writes accurate, complete documentation and manages Medicare/Denials process with rehab leadership.
• Supervises Clinical Fellows and other SLPs in direct patient care and related activities.
• Collaborates with the rehab team; participates in conferences and family education.
