Job summary

Rockport Healthcare Services in California seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide direct patient care in a skilled nursing facility, evaluating and treating speech, language, cognitive and swallowing disorders while coordinating with families and physicians.

Responsibilities include documenting services, developing treatment plans, supervising Clinical Fellows and other SLPs, and participating in rehab team conferences to ensure outcomes and compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in Speech-Language Pathology evaluation and treatment.
• Ability to supervise and direct assistants; knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to work with all staff and patients.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides treatment programs to maximize speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities.
• Documents services in the medical records and communicates with families and physicians.
• Supervises Clinical Fellows and other SLPs in direct patient care and related activities.
• Writes accurate, complete, and clear documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Contributes to professional development of self and others.
