Job summary

Innovate Rehab and Wellness seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a skilled nursing facility team in Arcadia, LA. The role focuses on assessing and treating communication and swallowing disorders with a patient-centered approach.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Valid state SLP license.
• CCC-SLP from ASHA preferred.
• Prior speech therapy experience preferred; new grads welcome.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders.
• Address speech, language, voice, fluency, and cognitive-communication needs.
• Help patients improve function and overall quality of life.
• Conduct evaluations for speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and provide therapy for articulation and swallowing.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on strategies and techniques.
• Collaborate with OTs, PTs, physicians, and nursing staff for comprehensive care.
• Document patient progress and update treatment plans.
