Job summary

Wind Creek Hospitality is hiring a Slot Technician I to maintain the operational order of gaming machines and related equipment. You will respond quickly to service calls, perform scheduled maintenance, and help install or move machines as part of a dynamic casino team.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, recent casino or IT-related experience, and the ability to lift heavy workloads. Flexible scheduling, including nights and weekends, is expected in this on-site position.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and complete GED within six (6) months from start date as a condition of continued employment.
  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older.
  • One (1) year experience in a casino Gaming or casino IT department– required OR one (1) year experience working with computers or electronics– required.
  • Must be able to lift and maneuver at least 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 150 pounds using a dolly.
  • Must successfully pass job interview, including a guest service audition.
  • Willing and able to work odd or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required.
  • Must have an Occupational License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) pursuant to the Illinois Gaming Act and remain in good standing with the Illinois Gaming Board as a requirement for this position.
  • Willing and able to work in a smoke/secondary smoke environment.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews and analyzes reports related to slot equipment performance.
  • Prepares and tests slot machines.
  • Maintains a sense of urgency in responding to calls for assistance or when dispatched.
  • Conducts scheduled preventive maintenance on all assigned slot machines.
  • Moves and installs slot machines as needed.
  • Researches and diagnoses game equipment malfunctions.
  • Troubleshoots, reads meters, and performs regular maintenance.
  • Communicates all information to fellow Technicians and Game Management.
  • Takes initiative to ask for and offer help to guests, co-associates and management.
  • Works closely with Vendor Technicians.
  • Adheres to Internal Controls (ICs), Company and Departmental Expectations.
  • Helps maintain a working inventory of parts and supplies.
  • Perform the duties and responsibilities associated with the Illinois Gaming Board Statewide Voluntary Self-Exclusion Program.
  • Other duties & responsibilities as assigned.

Base Pay:
  • Compensation:$22.40 – $27.60 per hour, with starting pay based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and skills.
