Job summary

Bally's Lincoln Casino Resort in Lincoln, RI is hiring a Guest Services Associate to greet and assist guests on the gaming floor, answer inquiries about Twin River services, and promote promotions and events. You will remain visible to guests, monitor floor activity, and coordinate with Floor Supervisors regarding complimentary meals or amenities.

The role requires fluent English, a high school diploma (college degree preferred), and at least 1 year of experience in a gaming facility.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
• Must be fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Must be 18 years of age or older and legally allowed to work.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest inquiries about Twin River services, features, promotions and events.
• Explain basic functions of video lottery terminals and game themes.
• Circulate on the Gaming floor and stay visible to guests.
• Communicate with Floor Supervisors about complimentary meals or amenities.
• Operate a two-way radio professionally and follow procedures.

Job description

• Demonstrate knowledge concerning Twin River services, features, attractions, promotions and special events to respond accurately to guest/member’s inquiries.
• Demonstrate knowledge concerning the basic functions of video lottery terminals and game themes.
• Circulate throughout the assigned room(s) on the Gaming floor, remaining visible to guests.
• Communicate with Floor Supervisors when a guest may have earned or deserves a complimentary meal or amenity.
• Act professionally when making radio transmissions.
• Return all unclaimed VLT tickets to a Floor Supervisor.
• Remain on the Gaming floor until the assigned room is clear (i.e., all guests have left the Cashier Booth area at closing).
• Perform other duties as assigned by Gaming Management.
• Recognize and respond to minors in the Casino (under the minimum age of 18 years old).
• Recognize signs of problem gaming and alcohol intoxication.
• Demonstrate knowledge concerning all aspects of the Twin Rivers Players’ Club Card and encourage guest participation.
• Demonstrate knowledge concerning attractions, special events and services available in the local community.

Working Conditions

• Work is performed on the Gaming floor and in areas that may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, smoky and/or poorly lighted.

Target Hourly Range: $16.00

• Must demonstrate the ability to access all areas of the property, and in some instances, in a rapid manner. Must be able to speak and write fluently in the English language. Must demonstrate the ability to maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure and/or when dealing with difficult situations and meeting deadline.
• Must be able to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods of time and to frequently bend, reach and kneel. Must maintain a professional, well-groomed appearance, adhering to the Twin Rivers appearance standards. Must possess normal vision and hearing range. Must demonstrate regular, predictable attendance. Must secure appropriate Mandated Rhode Island Department of Business Regulations License Demonstrate the ability to operate a two-way radio.
• High school degree required. College degree preferred. One (1) year experience in a Gaming facility. 18 years of age. Possess a thorough understanding of the RI Lottery Video Terminal Procedures pertaining to the Gaming operation. Demonstrate the ability to understand and comply with departmental and company rules and regulations, and policies and procedures. Demonstrate the ability to maintain effective working relationships with staff. Demonstrate the ability to perform basic math.
