Job summary

Bally’s Lincoln Casino Resort in Lincoln, RI is seeking a surveillance monitor to observe gaming areas using cameras and related tech. You will also log activities, detect tampering, and maintain security dispatch operations.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and familiarity with surveillance hardware; casino experience is a plus. Work includes responding to emergencies and adhering to department procedures with discretion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience with video cameras, access control systems and related surveillance hardware.
• Basic computer software and hardware knowledge preferred.
• Previous casino experience or loss prevention background is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and record activities in and around the gaming establishment using surveillance equipment.
• Monitor all areas for suspicious activity, health and safety issues, theft, cheating and violations.
• Check blind spots and camera outages or tampering.
• Log activities in the surveillance dispatch log.
• Operate surveillance camera switching and related equipment.
• Dispatch security and other personnel during emergencies as needed.
• Maintain familiarity with Twin River department procedures and confidentiality.

• Monitor and record activities being conducted in and around the gaming establishment using video cameras, monitors, digital recorders, access control systems, computer dispatch, video printers, switches, and other equipment used for surveillance.
• Monitor all areas of the property, both indoor and outdoor for suspicious activity, health and safety issues, evidence of theft, cheating, scams, and procedural violations.
• Check for blind spots and camera outage or tampering.
• Log all activities observed by surveillance in to the surveillance dispatch log.
• Understand and operate all Surveillance camera switching, reprogramming equipment, and use of all computer equipment.
• Controls Surveillance dispatch system for all calls to Control.
• Determines Control call priorities and dispatches security, police, fire, traffic officers, maintenance and facilities during emergencies as necessary.
• Dispatches Security officers as needed throughout the facility and monitors conduct.
• Maintain familiarity with all appropriate Twin River department procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality within the established guidelines.

• Previous casino experience is preferred but not required
• Basic computer software and hardware knowledge desired
• Previous experience in loss prevention preferred but not required
