Job summary

Paycom in Lavergne, TN seeks a setup person to configure slitter arbors ensuring precise slit widths per customer orders. You will assemble tooling, follow PN data, and use tape measures, calipers and micrometers to verify specifications on a daily basis.

Responsibilities include calibrating tools, entering data into setup software, and loading master coils. You will maintain 5S in your area, train others, and support the chief operator in the next phase of operations.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED required for safe operation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for the shift.
• Effective communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
• Qualified on tubes as part of role requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assemble tooling setups for the slitting line using spacers, knives and stripper rings.
• Follow PN and instructions to determine widths for customer orders.
• Use setup software and PN data to create shimless setups.
• Measure with tape, caliper and micrometer to meet specs.
• Calibrate measuring tools daily and record results.
• Enter widths and parameters into software to generate setup info.
• Determine clearance using the provided chart.
• Load and thread a master coil to the slitter head.
• Band finished material as needed and maintain 5S standards.
• Train the next phase of slitter operation and assist chief operator.
• Other duties as assigned.
