Job summary

Steel Technologies is seeking a CTL (Cut To Length) Operator to setup and operate a slitter according to customer specifications and work orders. You will perform regular equipment inspection and measure dimensions to ensure production instructions are met.

Responsibilities include setting up arbor and overarm, threading coils, aligning and cropping materials, recording measurements, and maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• Setup and operate slitting per customer specifications
• Use tape measures, Rockwell tester, micrometers and calipers
• Follow safety rules and lifting requirements

Responsibilities

• Make and inspect arbor and overarm set-ups for compliance with production instructions
• Thread coil through slitter head, cropping non-complying material
• Thread mults into recoiler
• Maintain production and quality standards by measuring and verifying before during and after processing
• Complete production documentation
• Assist maintenance to troubleshoot malfunctions or perform preventative maintenance
