Job summary

Shurtape Technologies, LLC is seeking a Slitter Operator to set up and operate manual or automatic slitter lines, maintaining quality, safety, and production records. The role involves problem-solving, equipment troubleshooting, and participation in cost-reduction initiatives while adhering to shop-floor instructions.

Ideal candidates have strong manual dexterity, good organizational skills, and the ability to read gauges and measurements.

Qualifications

• Follow detailed instructions accurately.
• Excellent manual dexterity and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of production schedules, basic math skills, data entry.
• Ability to read gauges and meters.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate slitter according to established procedures.
• Maintain safety, housekeeping, and preventive maintenance programs.
• Ensure finishing equipment is working correctly, troubleshoot and document, perform preventative maintenance and initiate repairs.
• Instruct trainees in slitter operation and record keeping.
• Read measurements, gauges, and meters and record outputs.
• Perform yardage checks and set yardage counter.
• Read tags to ensure correct materials are used.
• Issue hold tags and send samples to lab.
• Maintain production records and perform data-entry on SAP.
• Participate in S4 continuous improvement projects.
