Job summary

Shurtape Technologies, LLC is seeking a Slitter Operator to set up and run manual and automatic slitters, ensuring quality and adherence to safety rules. You will maintain production records, troubleshoot issues, and help drive cost reductions and quality improvements.

The role requires reading gauges, performing yardage checks, and recording results; experience with SAP data entry is a plus. You will join a team focused on safety, efficiency, and collaboration in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Follow detailed instructions accurately and work independently.
• Excellent manual dexterity and strong organizational skills.
• Knowledge of production schedules, basic math, computer skills and data entry.
• Ability to read length measurements, gauges and meters.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate slitter according to procedures.
• Maintain safety, housekeeping, and preventive maintenance programs.
• Troubleshoot equipment, perform safety inspections and document results.
• Instruct trainees in slitter operation and record keeping.
• Read tags to ensure correct materials are used and manage yardage checks.
• Enter data into SAP and participate in continuous improvement projects.
