Steel Technologies LLC in Blytheville, AR is seeking a Slitter Operator to set up and run slitting equipment per customer specs and work orders. You will inspect equipment, measure dimensions, align materials, and ensure product quality while following safety procedures.

Responsibilities include setting up arbors, loading coils, threading through the slitter head, monitoring gauge systems, and communicating any non-conformances to the supervisor.

Qualificações

• Experience setting up and operating slitting equipment per customer specs.
• Ability to read production instructions and perform inspections.
• Proficient with handheld measurement tools.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.

Responsabilidades

• Make and inspect arbor and overarm set-ups to ensure compliance with production instructions
• Reconcile coil identity to production and load coil
• Thread coil through slitter head, cropping non-complying material
• Thread mults into recoiler
• Maintain production and quality standards by measuring and verifying before during and after processing
• Check and record gauge width, hardness, camber, burr and surface condition
• Set gauge monitoring system and ensure gauge calibration
• Adjust machine setup to correct defects as needed throughout slitting
• Communicate non-compliance production to supervisor and/or shift lead
• Band/secure and identify slit mults
• Assist maintenance to troubleshoot malfunctions or complete preventative maintenance
• Remove scrap from machine and empty hopper
• Clean slitter and surrounding area
