Job summary

Steel Technologies LLC is seeking an Experienced Slitter Operator for the 3rd shift. You will set up and operate a slitter per customer specifications, inspect equipment, and measure dimensions to ensure production quality.

You will thread coils, reconcile identities, and load coils while maintaining safety and cleanliness in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. A strong emphasis on accuracy and adherence to procedures is required.

Qualifications

• Experience setting up and operating a slitting line per customer specs.
• Ability to measure dimensions and verify against production instructions.
• Proficient with tape measures, micrometers and calipers.
• Adherence to safety rules and ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a slitter according to production orders and customer specs.
• Inspect equipment regularly and monitor gauges to ensure quality.
• Thread coil through slitter head and handle material handling duties.
• Record measurements, reconcile coil identity to production, and load coil.
• Identify and report non-conforming material; assist maintenance as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and safe operation of the slitting area.
