Job summary

The University of Kentucky is seeking a Registered Polysomnography Technician to provide sleep monitoring services for patients. Responsibilities include registering patients, preparing for studies, and performing polysomnography with data analysis to support accurate diagnoses.

Additional clerical duties for the department will be required. Qualified candidates will have a RRT/CRT with RPSGT or SDS credentials and experience in sleep labs.

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist ( RRT ) or Certified Respiratory Therapist ( CRT ) + Registered Polysomnographic Technologist ( RPSGT ) or SDS
• Experience with sleep monitoring and polysomnography procedures preferred
• Night shift with three 12-hour shifts per week (6:00 pm – 6:30 am)

Responsibilities

• Register patients and collect pre-study paperwork
• Prepare patients and equipment for procedures
• Explain procedures to patients and obtain consent if required
• Complete follow-up notes and enter charges
• Perform polysomnography studies and analyze data for diagnoses
• Clean and sanitize study equipment and maintain department spaces
• Assist with department administrative tasks as needed
