Job summary

USC Verdugo Hills Hospital, part of Keck Medicine of USC, seeks an administrative coordinator to support patient registration, scheduling, financial clearance and records processing for new and existing patients. You will help with clinic flow, outreach to referral sources, and data analysis to improve efficiency.

The role requires strong communication, basic computer skills, and familiarity with medical terminology.

Qualifications

Req High school or equivalent.
Pref Degree in related field.
Pref 2 years Experience in acute care or ambulatory care setting.
Pref Experience with financial clearance.
Req Familiarity with Word processing, Microsoft Outlook.

Responsibilities

Clerical: Enter information into computer systems accurately; follow up with Medical Groups and IPA's for visits; document verification/authorizations in medical records.
Schedules patient evaluations and clinic appointments; coordinate laboratories, diagnostics and consultations as needed.
Acts as liaison between USC and referring physicians; analyzes data to track patient statistics and improve efficiency.
Educates and assists patients with financial needs and plan of care; directs to community resources as necessary.
Facilitates communication among care team and ensures changes are conveyed to all involved personnel.
