Job summary

Mattress Firm is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Baton Rouge, LA to elevate the in-store experience as a trusted sleep authority and drive sales performance. This transitional role develops your leadership skills toward becoming a Store Manager, coaching associates and ensuring effective merchandising and customer service across store units.

You will lead by example, train team members, and help resolve customer issues while supporting Senior Store Manager in company initiatives and sales

Responsibilities

• Support development of team members by providing technical and product knowledge information to associates, serving as subject matter expert.
• Assist Senior Store Manager with training of store associates.
• Promote a culture of coaching by providing insights as to how team members can improve the customer experience they provide and increase their selling aptitude.
• Achieve or exceed store financial targets through effective execution and customer service at the store level.
• Ensure store execution of product merchandising, marketing, and POP standards.
• Follow Mattress Firm procedures for product transfers to ensure proper documentation of inventory.
• Ability to lift, pull, and push 50+ pounds.
