Baptist Health in Lexington, KY seeks a Sleep Center Assistant to manage front and back office duties, registrations, authorizations, and patient scheduling for the Sleep Center. The role also supports the Home Sleep Testing program, including equipment setup and data download, with patient education and scheduling as core tasks.

Responsibilities include verifying demographics and insurance, determining out-of-pocket costs, and ensuring precertifications and referrals are in place.

Qualifications

• High School or Equivalent Required.
• 2+ years of experience in a medical setting with medical terminology knowledge preferred.
• BLS required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Handle front and back office tasks for the Sleep Center, including registrations, authorizations, and scheduling.
• Support Home Sleep Testing (HST) program: equipment setup, disinfection, patient education, equipment delivery and data download.
• Verify demographics and insurance, register patients, determine out-of-pocket costs, and generate sleep testing estimates.
