SLED West Account Executive – Public Sector

Job summary

Cloudflare is seeking seasoned sales professionals to help build a Public Sector Sales team aimed at State and Local markets. You will combine sales acumen with technical understanding to engage both technical and non-technical buyers.

Responsibilities include developing territory plans, driving revenue, negotiating contracts, and maintaining a healthy pipeline while fostering long-term relationships with key accounts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience selling technical solutions or products to the Public Sector (SLED, Federal Government, Municipalities, etc.).
• Experience managing longer, complex sales cycles.
• Basic understanding of computer networking and “how the internet works.”
• Aptitude for learning technical concepts/terms (engineering or MIS background a plus).
• Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Build a Public Sector Sales team to cover State and Local markets within the territory.
• Develop and execute an account/territory plan to drive revenue targets.
• Articulate compelling value propositions for Cloudflare services.
• Manage contract negotiations and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
• Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts.
