Job summary

Cloudflare is seeking a Senior Customer Engineer focused on SLED (State, Local, Education) and Local Government. You will partner with Account Executives to lead technical discovery, craft bespoke architectures, and demonstrate value through PoCs across Security, Networking, and Developer Platforms, aligned with public sector procurement and compliance standards.

The role carries a quota and requires managing onboarding, health, risk, expansion, and executive-facing QBRs.

Qualifications

• Public sector buying cycles and compliance requirements.
• Experience in a customer-facing technical role.
• Broad technical expertise across web security, networking, cloud, and enterprise architecture.
• Quota-carrying or revenue-aligned experience.
• Excellent stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery, build bespoke architectures, and deliver PoCs across Cloudflare’s portfolio tailored to public sector procurement and compliance standards.
• Onboard and implement for customers, monitor health and expansion, and partner with AEs on discovery, demos, onboarding, health, risk and expansion.
• Own quarterly business reviews (QBRs) to translate platform capabilities into ROI for executives.
• Maintain trusted advisory relationships throughout the customer lifecycle, from onboarding to renewal and expansion.
• Leverage AI-augmented workflows to automate routine tasks and reclaim time for strategic advisory.
