Job summary

Skydio is seeking a Director of Solutions Engineering for SLED, a remote role covering the United States and Canada. You will build and run a multi-team organization, ensuring high technical quality and scalable leadership while guiding coverage alignment with the sales team.

You will recruit and coach senior managers, own forecast discipline and resource planning, and drive successful deployments of Skydio’s public-safety sUAS programs. travel ~30% is required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant technical experience, including customer-facing roles.
• 2+ years leading managers or a team with multiple layers.
• Track record of scaling organizations during rapid growth.
• Strong understanding of drone technology and Public Safety sUAS operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Senior Managers; build a multi-team organization.
• Own the technical win across SLED and the coverage model with the sales org.
• Represent the customer inside Skydio; translate field observations into prioritized requirements.
• Own site assessment quality and proofs of concept; guide integration and airspace strategy.
• Engage in forecast reviews, capacity decisions, and escalation paths for demand.
