Job summary

Skydio, the leading US drone company, seeks a Senior Manager, Solutions Engineering for National Security. This remote role leads a team supporting the DoD and intelligence customers, focusing on upstream requirements, evaluations, field trials, and system integration across Skydio's end-to-end UAS solutions.

This role travels up to 50% (including international travel) and reports to the Director, Solutions Engineering – National Security.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in technical roles supporting defense customers.
• 5+ years federal government or defense experience in a discipline relevant to UAS.
• 1+ years leading a technical team or as a technical lead.
• Active Secret or Top Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to travel up to 50% including regular international travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Solutions Engineering team across agencies and components, with clear ownership and coverage.
• Set the bar for technical quality in demos, trial plans, integration designs, RFI/RFP responses, and customer-facing docs.
• Own capacity and allocate SE time across accounts; communicate tradeoffs to leadership.
• Represent the customer inside Skydio; translate field observations into prioritized, defensible requirements.
