Job summary

Slalom is seeking a seasoned program manager to lead network infrastructure deployments in the Los Angeles area. You will oversee planning, execution, and completion of multiple projects, coordinating with construction teams and vendors to deliver WiFi, data networks, switches, and server environments.

You will partner with clients and internal teams to translate business needs into concrete infrastructure solutions, manage risks, and produce regular status reports.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program/project management experience in network infrastructure or technology deployments.
  • Hands-on experience with WiFi, data networks, switches, firewalls, and server environments.
  • Exposure to infrastructure implementation in data centers, network rooms, or campus environments.
  • Experience working with construction teams, contractors, or on active build sites.
  • Familiarity with fiber optics, structured cabling, and low-voltage systems.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee planning, execution, and finalization of multiple network infrastructure projects.
  • Lead deployment of enterprise network infrastructure including WiFi, data networks, switches, firewalls, and servers.
  • Manage implementation across network rooms, data centers, and site buildouts.
  • Partner cross-functionally with construction, engineering, operations, and vendors for seamless delivery.
  • Coordinate on-site infrastructure work including fiber installation and structured cabling.
  • Ensure QA of all delivered infrastructure and installations.
  • Produce weekly and monthly project status reports.
  • Translate client business challenges into effective infrastructure solutions.
  • Identify risks and dependencies; develop mitigation plans.
  • Work independently while contributing to a broader delivery team.
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders for smooth execution.
  • Build strong client and internal relationships as a trusted partner.

Job description

This role is not eligible for remote work. Employees must live within a commutable distance of Los Angeles, CA and be comfortable traveling to different jobsites. Out-of-state travel around the region is also required but will be covered.

What You’ll Do
  • Oversee planning, execution, and finalization of multiple network infrastructure projects
  • Lead the deployment of enterprise network infrastructure, including WiFi systems, data networks, network switches, firewalls, and server environments
  • Manage implementation across network rooms, data center environments, and site buildouts
  • Partner cross-functionally with construction, engineering, operations, and third-party vendors to ensure seamless delivery
  • Coordinate on-site infrastructure work, including fiber installation, structured cabling, and low-voltage systems
  • Ensure quality assurance of all delivered infrastructure and installations
  • Produce weekly and monthly project status reports
  • Understand client business challenges and translate them into effective infrastructure solutions that drive desired outcomes
  • Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and potential points of resistance; develop mitigation plans
  • Work independently while contributing effectively as part of a broader delivery team
  • Collaborate closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution
  • Build strong relationships and serve as a trusted partner to clients and internal teams
What You’ll Bring
  • 5+ years of experience in program/project management, specifically within network infrastructure or technology deployment projects
  • Hands-on experience with physical network infrastructure, including WiFi, data networks, switches, firewalls, and/or server environments
  • Direct exposure to infrastructure implementation in data center, network room, or campus environments
  • Experience working with construction teams, contractors, or on active build sites
  • Familiarity with fiber optics, structured cabling, and low-voltage systems
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to act as a trusted advisor and business partner
  • Consulting experience preferred

Actual compensation will depend upon an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors.
