You will search public and private records, verify contact details, and support the legal team with accurate information while complying with FDCPA and FCRA regulations. The role requires persistence, strong investigative skills, and the ability to work with sensitive consumer data in a fast-paced environment at a well-established creditors’

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; an Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice, Legal Studies, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in skip tracing, debt collection, or private investigation, preferably in a law firm or financial services.
• Experience navigating public record databases and FDCPA/FCRA guidelines is essential.

Responsibilities

• Utilize basic and advanced skip tracing tools to locate borrowers, co-signers, and assets for a high volume of legal files.
• Search private databases, proprietary software, and public records to identify current contact information.
• Leverage web resources and social networks to gather supplemental borrower information.
• Rigorously verify phone numbers, addresses, and employer information to ensure data integrity.
