DABS, Inc. is hiring a Skills Instructor in Pinole, CA. You will provide person-centered instruction through community activities and support individuals in accessing local resources, outings, and skill-building opportunities.

The role involves documenting progress with concise notes, coordinating with a team, and helping participants maintain dignity and independence. Training is provided, and certifications (CPR) are welcomed.

Qualifications

• Caring, compassionate approach to support adults with disabilities.
• Willingness to undergo state and federal fingerprint background checks.
• CPR certification is required; TB test may be provided.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered instruction through planned community activities.
• Support individuals in accessing community resources and planning engaging activities.
• Take individuals on community outings for appointments, errands or leisure.
• Track and document progress with accurate case notes.
• Redirect challenging behaviors and facilitate positive resolutions.
• Collaborate with a team of professionals to ensure comprehensive support.
