Job summary

Volunteers of America Northern Rockies is seeking a dedicated Skills Trainer to provide support, skill-building, and one-on-one supervision within our Alcohol Recovery Center environment in Cheyenne, WY. This role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and 1–2 years in adult education or related fields.

You will join a multidisciplinary team, document care plans, and help clients build daily living skills while coordinating daily facility operations and client needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years of training/experience in adult education or related field.
• Must obtain CPR/First Aid, Mental Health First Aid, and MANDT within 30 days.
• Valid driver’s license required for travel and client transport.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one supervision and skills training per treatment plan.
• Maintain case records and coordinate with the treatment team.
• Conduct in-home skills training visits to develop independent living skills.
• Assist in preparing materials and organize workspaces for daily operations.
• Transport clients to services and appointments as needed.
• Participate in team meetings and case staffing.
