Job summary

Volunteers of America Northern Rockies is seeking a Skills Trainer for our residential program. You will provide one-on-one supervision, skill-building, and documentation aligned with treatment plans, coordinating with staff to support client progress.

Responsibilities include team participation, in-home training, material prep, and maintaining records. A valid driver’s license and caring, collaborative approach are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• 1–2 years of training/experience in adult education, populations with learning disabilities, or severe mental illness.
• Certifications: CPR/First Aid, Mental Health First Aid, MANDT within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide support, supervision, activities, and skills training per the treatment plan.
• Attend team meetings, community partner meetings, and case staffing.
• Conduct in-home skills training visits to help clients develop independent living skills.
• Prepare materials for day treatment (copies/packets, group room, workspace).
• Maintain case records and documentation per agency policies.
