Job summary

Volunteers of America Northern Rockies seeks a Skills Trainer to provide one-on-one supervision and skill-building to clients per the treatment plan. You will support daily living skills, coping strategies, and crisis prevention within a residential setting.

You'll participate in a multidisciplinary team, maintain case records, coordinate facility operations, and ensure safety and compliance with VOA policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• CPR / First Aid certification within 30 days of hire.
• Mental Health First Aid certification.
• MANDT training certification.
• 1–2 years in adult education or related mental health settings.
• 3–5 years preferred in relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Provide skill training and supervision per treatment plan.
• Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team and meetings.
• Conduct in-home skills training to build independence.
• Prepare materials for day treatment and organize workspace.
• Maintain case records and documentation per policies.
• Coordinate daily facility operations and client transport.
• Monitor safety and crisis prevention within ARC duties.
