Volunteers of America Northern Rockies seeks a Skills Trainer - Healthcare to support clients with treatment plans, provide on-site supervision, and maintain records in a residential facility. You will coordinate with the clinical team and help with daily living skills and crisis prevention.

The role requires high school diploma, valid driver's license, and 1-2 years of training/experience in adult education or mental health settings, with certifications within 30 days.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• 1-2 years of training and/or experience in adult education, populations with learning disabilities, or severe mental illness.
• Must obtain and maintain valid certifications for CPR/First Aid, Mental Health First Aid, and MANDT within the first 30 days of employment.

Aufgaben

• Provide support, supervision, activities, and skills training individually and/or in group settings per the treatment plan.
• Participates as an integral member of a multidisciplinary treatment team.
• Attends team meetings, community partner meetings, and case staffing as assigned by supervisor or clinic director.
• Conducts in-home skills training visits to assist clients with developing independent living skills.
• Prepare materials for the day treatment process (copies/packets, group room setup) and maintain workspace.
• Cleans program facilities/areas as needed or assigned.
• Provide all services within the detoxification process for clients, including non-medical monitoring.
• Provide medication monitoring of clients following medical policies and procedures.
• Provide basic risk assessment and immediate referral as needed.
• Ensure client safety and coordinate with clinicians and emergency services as required.
• Contact clinical staff to intervene in cases requiring professional support or escalation.
• Coordinate daily facility operations, monitoring, walkthroughs and room searches.
• Transport clients to access services and appointments as needed.
• May administer Drug and Alcohol screens/tests as authorized.
• Participate as a team member of the client’s care team.
• Utilize assessments such as DLA-20, MIS, PHQ-9, GAD-7, SOWS, CIWA as outlined.
• Maintain case records and other documentation per policies.
• Familiarize with VOA Northern Rockies policies for the programs worked on.
• Participate in supervision, staff meetings, and required trainings.
• Maintain productivity/billable hour expectations as determined by leadership.
• Other duties as assigned.
