Job summary

OPW in Minnesota is seeking a skilled pipe welder to lay out, weld, and assemble piping and structural components used in cryogenic and industrial gas systems. You will read sketches and blueprints, position parts, and weld with TIG, arc, or submerged arc processes, ensuring correct bead size and alignment.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, technical training preferred, and at least 3 years of related welding experience; 6G position preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to weld in 6G position preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED; technical school preferred.
• 3+ years related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Selects equipment and plans layout, assembles, and welds.
• Lays out, positions, aligns, and fits components together.
• Fabricates from sketches, blueprints or instruction.
• Be able to qualify for ASME Code welding as required.
