Job summary

OPW, a Dover company leader in fluid-handling systems, seeks a skilled welder in Minnesota. You will lay out, align, and weld piping and spool pieces for complex assemblies, using arc, TIG, or submerged arc processes.

The role requires a strong eye for fit-up and quality, plus ASME qualification as needed. Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of welding experience, a High School Diploma or GED, and the ability to work in a fast-paced fabrication environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; technical school preferred.
• 3+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to weld in a 6G position preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, position, align, and fit components for welding.
• Weld using arc, GTAW-TIG, submerged arc, or other welding processes used by the company.
• Repair/rework products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts.
• Examine weld bead size and other visual specifications; set up equipment for welding.
• Assemble completed spool pieces into final assemblies per drawings and specs; qualify for ASME Code welding as required.
