Job summary

AutoNation in Miami Gardens seeks a Skilled Technician to perform vehicle repair and maintenance per dealer and factory standards, aiming to build customer loyalty through trust and safety.

You will diagnose malfunctions, perform repairs with accuracy, coordinate with Parts and Service Advisors, and document work while maintaining tools and keeping up with factory bulletins to ensure safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience as an automotive technician.
• Automotive technical training varies by store.
• Valid in-state driver’s license with a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair and/or maintenance per the repair order with efficiency and accuracy.
• Communicate with Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs if authorized by the customer.
• Conduct multi-point inspections and make safety recommendations.
• Document work performed on each vehicle in the repair order.
• Maintain an inventory of non-standard tools used by the technician.
• Stay updated on factory bulletins and training classes.

What We’re Looking For:

What are the day-to-day responsibilities?

• Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards, to drive Customer loyalty.
• Communicating with the Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication.
• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and performing repair, if authorized by the Customer.
• Conducting multi-point inspections to make appropriate recommendations to ensure the safety and reliability of Customer vehicles.
• Documenting work performed on each vehicle on the repair order.
• Maintaining an inventory of normal Technician’s tools not normally inventoried by the Service department as “special tools.”
• Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate.
• Providing an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty.

What are the requirements for this job?
