Job summary

Live Well Healthcare Solutions, together with The Blossoms at the Village Rehab and Nursing Center, is seeking a skilled Cook for a nursing facility. You will prepare nutritious meals, plate dishes attractively, and support kitchen operations in a high-volume environment.

The role requires classical culinary training, experience in healthcare settings, and availability to work every other weekend. This position offers full-time hours within a dedicated dietary team.

Qualifications

• Classically trained cook with experience in high-volume kitchen operations.
• Experience in healthcare hospitality or skilled nursing facilities preferred.
• Must be available to work every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, portion, and cook a variety of nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner following standardized recipes.
• Plate and garnish all cooked items to ensure an attractive presentation.
• Act as liaison for the Dietary Manager during their absence to ensure seamless meal prep and delivery.
• Maintain high sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning the kitchen and all culinary equipment before and after service.
• Manage inventory, rotate stock, assist with purchasing, and support recipe development and compliance.
• Flexibly handle last-minute culinary requests for special events and facility functions.
