Job summary

Live Well Healthcare Solutions seeks a talented Cook for a Nursing Facility, focusing on high-volume meal preparation and culinary excellence. The role requires accurate cooking, plating, and adherence to standardized recipes, with the Dietary Manager as a key collaborator.

You will help maintain sanitation, manage inventory and contribute to recipe development for diverse meals, including special events, in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-volume culinary operations.
• Ability to prepare, portion and cook meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner following standardized recipes.
• Attention to plating and presentation to ensure menu appeal.
• Capability to support the Dietary Manager in their absence.
• Maintain kitchen sanitation and equipment cleanliness.
• Experience with inventory, stock rotation and basic purchasing.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, and cook a variety of nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner following standardized recipes.
• Plate and garnish all cooked items expertly to ensure an attractive menu presentation.
• Act as a liaison for the Dietary Manager during their absence to ensure seamless meal prep and delivery.
• Maintain high sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning the kitchen and all culinary equipment before and after food service.
• Manage inventory, handle stock rotation, assist with purchasing, and ensure recipe development and compliance.
• Flexibly handle last-minute culinary requests for special events and facility functions.
