Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting or equivalent two years healthcare accounting training/experience.
• Minimum two years in bookkeeping or accounting practice.
• Experience in healthcare accounting required.

Responsibilities

• Bill and collect all patient accounts.
• Balancing and updating the monthly closing.
• Communicate AR issues with the Administrator.
• Discuss billing situations with residents or families.
• Stay current with procedural changes.
• Maintain accurate records and reports (accounts, journals, deposits, ledgers).
• Maintain census data.
• Secure cash and valuables per policy.
• Oversee Accounts Receivable assistant.
• Maintain Resident Trust where applicable.
