Job summary

Southeast Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center in North Easton is hiring a Business Office Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting in a 171-bed facility. The salaried role offers weekly pay and compensation up to $37 per hour.

Responsibilities include billing and collecting patient accounts, balancing monthly closings, and communicating issues with the administrator and regional finance team, while maintaining records and census data and securing cash on hand.

Qualifications

• Must possess an associate’s degree in Accounting and/or two (2) years training and experience in health care accounting.
• Must have at least two (2) years experience in bookkeeping or accounting practice.
• Experience in health care accounting preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Bill and collect all patient accounts.
• Balancing and updating the monthly closing.
• Communicate all potential account issues with the administrator and the regional finance team.
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of all job descriptions within the department.
• Discuss billing situations with residents and/or responsible parties.
• Stay current with intermediary procedural changes.
• Maintain accurate and timely records and reports, including all accounts, journals, deposits, ledgers, etc.
• Maintain accurate census data.
• Secure all cash and valuables on hand.
