Job summary

D7 Pneumatics LLC is seeking a skilled Millwright with welding capabilities to join our maintenance division during fall shutdowns across steel mills, sawmills and auto plants. You will troubleshoot, repair, and install industrial equipment, emphasizing safety and high-quality workmanship.

The role requires MIG, TIG, and Stick welding, a solid grasp of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics, and the ability to work in demanding environments.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Millwright apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
• Previous industrial maintenance experience; steel mills, sawmills, and power plants preferred.
• Strong welding experience (MIG/TIG/Stick) with steel, stainless steel, etc.
• Solid understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical systems.
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including confined spaces, high elevations, and extreme temperatures.
• Excellent troubleshooting, attention to detail, and commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance, repair, and upgrading of mechanical equipment, conveyors, crushers, pumps, motors, gearboxes, and other machinery.
• Welding and fabrication for repairs and parts fabrication; perform weld inspections.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
• Assist with installation, alignment, and commissioning of new equipment across mining, sawmill, and automotive lines.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements; maintain clean and safe work areas.
• Collaborate with maintenance technicians, engineers, and management to resolve issues efficiently.
• Apply strong troubleshooting skills to identify failures and implement effective solutions.
