Job summary

D7 Pneumatics LLC is seeking a skilled Millwright with welding capabilities to join our maintenance division for scheduled fall shutdowns. You will maintain, repair, and install industrial machinery across steel mills, conveyors, pumps, motors, and gearboxes in a safety-focused environment.

The ideal candidate has experience in welding (MIG/TIG/Stick), a solid understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical concepts, and the physical ability to work in demanding

Qualifications

• Completion of Millwright apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
• Experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in steel mills, sawmills, and power plants.
• Extensive MIG, TIG, and Stick welding experience with multiple materials.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical systems.
• Able to work in confined spaces, high elevations, extreme temperatures, and lift heavy parts.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical equipment, conveyors, crushers, pumps, motors, gearboxes, and other industrial machinery.
• Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding for repairs and fabrication of parts, structures, and equipment.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to reduce downtime.
• Assist with installation, alignment, and commissioning of new equipment.
• Follow safety protocols and regulatory requirements; keep work areas safe and clean.
• Collaborate with maintenance technicians, engineers, and management to ensure efficient operations.
• Apply strong troubleshooting to identify mechanical failures and implement solutions.
