Job summary

Staffmark is hiring a Welder in Chandler, AZ to perform MIG and TIG welding on manufactured components. The role requires reading blueprints, adhering to WPS, and maintaining quality per AWS specs. You will set up equipment, operate calipers and gauges, follow safety policies, and sustain a clean, organized work area.

The position requires a high school diploma and about 1 year of welding experience in manufacturing, with emphasis on measurement accuracy and adherence to instructions.

Qualifications

• 1 year of welding experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of MIG and TIG welding processes.
• Ability to read and follow written work instructions.
• Ability to perform welds that pass visual inspection and required testing.
• Experience using measuring tools, including tape measures, rulers, squares, and dial calipers.
• Basic math skills, including measurements and conversions.
• Knowledge of welding equipment setup and operation.
• Ability to safely operate hand tools, air tools, and electric grinders.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and TIG welding with minimal supervision.
• Set up welding equipment according to Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS).
• Complete weldments that meet AWS welding codes, engineering drawings, and quality requirements.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and welding symbols.
• Operate material handling equipment as needed to support welding operations.
• Use measuring tools such as tape measures, squares, rulers, and dial calipers to ensure accuracy.
• Perform minor maintenance on welding equipment and maintain assigned tools.
• Operate hand tools, air tools, and electric grinders safely.
• Follow all company safety policies and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain reliable attendance.
