Job summary

Valmont Industries in Tampa, FL is seeking a highly motivated Skilled Labor candidate for the Coatings Division. The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, attention to detail, and the ability to work extended shifts with potential overtime.

You will be trained across multiple positions to support manufacturing and galvanizing processes. Responsibilities include handling fixtures, securing racks, operating grinders and torches, and following strict safety and recycling procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
• Must work well in a team environment.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
• Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.
• Ability to stand and walk for long shifts.
• Cross-training for multiple positions may be required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean, and productive work environment.
• Inspect and ensure safe use of production fixtures, chains, hooks, and racks.
• Load/unload racks and fixtures to maximize weight without compromising quality.
• Operate pneumatic grinders, strappers, and cutting tools.
• Prepare material by removing burrs and preparing surfaces to meet specifications.
• Follow recycling procedures for zinc, aluminum, spray cans, and dunnage.
• All other duties as assigned by management.
